Almost 100 years ago, fifty families joined to form Temple Beth El on Prospect Street in downtown Stamford — it was a community built on the common threads of Jewish heritage and Conservative Jewish values.
Today, Temple Beth El is a congregation of more than 500 families strong. We continue to thrive because our members are engaged, our Rabbi uplifts our spirits and challenges our minds, our Cantor’s music nourishes our souls, and our reputation for warmth and inclusiveness keeps our congregation growing.
Although today our finances are stable, we are faced with a future of uncertainty. With dues and donations that can fluctuate, and unforeseen financial downturns or building expenses — our financial security is vulnerable.
Now is the time to build upon our strengths and establish a new way to secure our future with an endowment and a capital campaign.
